FOSS4G Conference

Howard Butler and I will be presenting a talk titled “LiDAR Point Cloud Processing with libPC [sic!] and libLAS” at the FOSS4G conference in September. I’d like to have some sort of lidar / point cloud BOF during the week, be sure and watch for it.

DARPA GRID Workshop

I will be presenting a short overview of the status of open source support for points clouds at the DARPA GRID workshop on June 30th.

MapWindow / DotSpatial Conference

I will be at the MapWindow/DotSpatial confernece the week of July 13th.  I will be doing two presentations: an invited keynote titled “Working with, and in, the Open Source Community” and I will also be doing a presentation on the state of open source support for lidar and point clouds.

IslandWood Codesprint

Together with the CUGOS gang, I’m organizing the 2012 North American OSGeo codesprint, to be held in February at IslandWood right here in the Puget Sound. Come enjoy the beautiful winter weather in the Pacific Northwest for a week of serious open source hacking!
